Luckily we don’t hear of many break-ins at night while people are sleeping but it does happen. Either way it provides a lot of peace-of-mind to have the system set while you are sleeping. It is definitely comforting when you hear a noise at night. The second time to set your alarm is of course anytime the home is left unattended. Most people underestimate this and only set their system when they are gone from the home for long periods of time. But, one of the most common times that we hear about break-ins is when people have just left their home for and hour or two. The problem is if someone knows your schedule or physically sees your car leaving the neighborhood then you are an easy target. So, home alarm systems should be set every single time the home is left unattended. That way the home is clear and safe to re-enter when you get home.
