1. Does a home alarm system really reduce my chance of being burglarized?
   Yes! Studies have shown that homes with alarm systems in them are 3 to 4 times less likely of being burglarized. Burglars look for places without home alarms because it's easier and they have less chance of being caught.
2. I live in a 2-Story house; can I still get an alarm system setup?
   In most multi story homes it's almost impossible for traditional hardwired home alarm systems to be installed because of having no attic to run the wires. But with our state-of-the-art wireless home alarm systems, no wires need to be run, that means it doesn't matter how many stories your home is you can still get an alarm system setup in your house.
3. What about pets in the home; will I still be able to use my alarm system motions?
   All of our alarm systems come standard with pet friendly motions. So pets up to 40 pounds will not be detected. But it's always a good idea that when you get an alarm system to let your pet run around in front of the motions to make sure they aren't detected. Even when your home alarm isn't armed, the motion will still have a small red light show when it sees motion.
4. I am currently renting, can I still get alarm monitoring?
   We do not currently offer alarm monitoring to renters at this time.
5. Why should I test my home alarm system regularly?
   You should test your alarm at least once a month, preferably once a week. This ensures that everything is working properly in case of an actual emergency. The biggest concern is the phone lines that the alarm system is hooked to. Testing will confirm that your home alarm system has a strong connection to the phones and that the phone lines are working properly. 7. What if my home alarm loses power because of a power failure?
   Every alarm system from us comes with a backup battery already installed. This means that during power outages the alarm system will automatically switch to the backup battery. The battery will keep your home alarm system powered for up to 24 hours, depending on how much you use the system during this time. After the main power of your home comes back on, the alarm system will begin recharging the backup battery until it is at full power again. During this time the alarm system will report that the battery is low until fully charged.
8. Does having a home alarm system really make my homeowners insurance cheaper?
   Yes! Insurance companies know that you are 3 to 4 times less likely to be burglarized by having a home alarm system in your home. This means they are less likely to have to pay large insurance claims on stolen property and are willing to give significant discounts to their customers that get monitored security alarms in their homes. The level of discount depends on the coverage of the alarm system and the area you live in, for more information contact your insurance company.
9. How do I find out if my city requires an alarm permit for my alarm?
   Each cities alarm regulations are different, some cities require you to get an alarm permit for your security alarm system and some don't. The best way to find out for sure is to contact your local police department (or the designated authority in your area that handles alarm dispatch) and asked them what your city's requirements are on home alarm systems. Registration of your alarm with the city you live in may be necessary before your cities emergency personnel will respond to your alarms signals so be sure to check with the police or sheriff's department of the city you live in.
