Home Security Alarms have remained much the same over the last 10 years. So if your alarm system is no more than about a decade old then you should be in pretty good shape. There are a few more bells and whistles like one button arming features but the alarm signaling is very similar. Most devices are simple loop currents, like an on/off switch (such as the doors and windows).
