5 Simple Home Security Tips

In spite of a home security system installed in your home, it is still better to have an environment that will prevent any intruder from making an attempt to enter. Here are five simple home security tips:

1. Prominently display the yard sign that the house is equipped with a security alarm system. That would alert the burglars and people in your neighbourhood.

2. Remove anything, like your landscape that hides the house from the street.   However, it is advisable to grow thorny plants close to the house especially near the windows.

3. Provide outdoor lighting especially in dark corners.

4. Provide opaque drapes on glass doors or windows.  If the burglars can’t see anything that will be worth the risk of a break in, they will most likely look for other opportunities.

5. Have peepholes or a video system to check anyone requesting to enter before you open the door.

These home security tips are meant to stop any intruder from making plans or attempts to enter your house. Even if your home security alarm system will sound off a siren and call the proper authorities to check your place, it is still scary to think that  somebody attempted to illegally enter your precious home.
